Managing print servers at branch offices and remote locations has become a costly area for IT departments. Printing can also soak up considerable bandwidth preventing key business applications from running smoothly. The uniFLOW SmartClient allows customers with a large and widely distributed, multi‐site infrastructure to print securely and track costs without the need for local print servers in different locations.

When you print, the uniFLOW SmartClient, installed on a user’s computer, will manage your jobs. Once you have identified at a device and released your secure print job, the uniFLOW SmartClient will send it directly to the printer, eliminating the need for a local print server and reducing network print traffic. Accounting data is sent directly to the central uniFLOW server to ensure correct reporting.

With its flexible design the uniFLOW SmartClient can be integrated in a variety of environments, so it can be easily adapted to fit specific customer requirements. You can also mix ‘n match, running some locations with print servers, others with just uniFLOW SmartClients or have a combination of both.
