Print confidential Documents securely

At some point, everybody needs to print a confidential document. uniFLOW’s secure printing functionality allows users to send sensitive documents from a desktop or mobile device to network printers where the job is printed only when the authorized user is physically standing in front of the device.

Track printing and copying

Every organization needs to have an overview of their printing budget in order to control costs and cut waste. uniFLOW can track all printing, copying, faxing and scanning within an organization on any printer or MFD regardless of manufacturer. Over 60 standard reports allow the finance department to audit the printing and copying budget.

How it works?

uniFLOW offers several  methods of integration into a Citrix environment, simplifying and speeding up the roll-out of your printers across the organization.

Shared printers can be connected directly to the Citrix XenApp server. If a shared application or desktop session is used, the printer can be selected as usual from within the application.

The uniFLOW Universal Driver output options will then be displayed within the session.

It is also possible to connect the shared printer from the uniFLOW server directly to the Citrix client machine. In this instance, print jobs are sent directly to the uniFLOW server, where also the accounting takes place. No client software is needed.

In addition, when printing from a shared application or Citrix desktop session, the printer can be used as a redirected printer provided that the shared printer is not connected to the Citrix XenApp server.

Reduce IT effort : Client Installation on the Citrix Server

The uniFLOW client can be installed on the Citrix XenApp server; the software can be published as a shared application or, alternatively, it can be started when a Citrix client connects to a remote desktop session via the Citrix XenApp server. No uniFLOW client needs to be installed on the client workstations, reducing the work for the IT organization.

Cost center selection and status messages are sent via the published uniFLOW client software i.e. they appear on the Citrix client machine as a pop-up. Users should bear in mind that whilst the pop-up is displayed on the Citrix client machine’s screen, the process actually takes place on the server.

uniFLOW Universal Driver – Citrix Ready & Certified

As a single driver for the entire fleet, the uniFLOW Universal Driver allows users to choose any printer on the network to release a job. This unique technology ensures that output is exactly as expected, regardless of make or model of the MFD. The uniFLOW Universal Driver can be used in a Citrix environment simply as a shared printer from the uniFLOW server. The connection can be made either directly on the Citrix client machine or on the Citrix XenApp server. Accounting of print jobs will take place on the uniFLOW server as usual.

Both the uniFLOW Universal PCLXL Driver v5.3.0 and the uniFLOW Universal PS Driver v5.3.0 are verified to be compatible with the following Citrix XenApp versions 7.5 (64-bit) and 6.5 (64-bit).
