Marketing Manager – BTA Channel

PURPOSE OF POSITION:
This position oversees the development, implementation, and tracking/reporting of programs and promotions in support of the marketing and sales strategies to the BTA (Office Equipment Dealer) channel.

  • Supports the achievement of annual business plans, company goals and objectives.
  • Supports the launch of new BTA channel exclusive products.
  • Provides feedback and input to the sales and marketing organizations to develop long term BTA channel marketing strategies.
  • Manages budget to support BTA Channel initiatives.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinates the development, execution and communication of BTA channel programs.  Ensures buy-in/approval for program from BTA Sales organization and ODA Marketing team.
  • Tracks BTA channel program performance to ensure goals are being achieved.  If necessary, develops contingency plans to get programs back on track.  This may include proposing promotional pricing changes to achieve or exceed business plan as necessary, considering market and competitive changes.
  • Manage BTA channel marketing budget.  Tracks and processes invoices in timely manner.
  • Manages BTA channel partner recruitment.  Identifies potential dealer targets and works with sales to sign-on new partners.
  • Supports BTA channel tradeshows and events.  Ensures product, collateral, etc. are shipped to show location.  If possible, will attend shows and events and events to help support sales.
  • Works very closely with technology Marketing managers to insure synergy in planning and execution.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with key channel business partners to stay current on trends and significant sales and marketing requirements.
  • Assists sales with the closing of attack plan sales opportunities and develops incentives to help move through slow moving inventory (SMI).
  • Develops marketing tools for BTA channel sales and management.
  • Provides necessary feedback and input to Strategic planning group to develop long term channel marketing strategy.
  • Leads monthly BTA channel webinar.  Develops topic for webinar and works with agency to communicate webinar information to partners.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • College graduate; MBA Preferred

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Minimum of 5years of BTA Channel Marketing experience at a copier manufacturer or office equipment dealer.
  • Proven decision-making skills particularly with program development and execution.
  • Track record of successful marketing program management and demonstrated ability to handle position’s responsibilities.
  • Excellent written, verbal and organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent PC skills, including Word, Excel, internet and e-mail
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and teamwork.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: 10% – 15%
