Nuance’s AutoStore, eCopy ShareScan and Output Manager software powerfully integrate information into any format with key business processes

MALVERN, PA, Oct. 7, 2015 – Building on an enduring partnership, Ricoh today announced it is providing customers new options for achieving higher levels of business productivity with the release of three enhanced information workflow solutions.

As Ricoh consulting professionals assess each customer’s challenge and design a complete business solution, their toolbox will now include new versions of Nuance AutoStore, Nuance eCopy ShareScan and Nuance Output Manager software. These products seamlessly interoperate with Ricoh multifunction print/copy/scan/fax products (MFPs) to increase customers’ information mobility.

“Organizations are determined to swiftly move information to the person or place it’s needed the most, and in the form required, to make important business decisions,” said John Brophy, Vice President, Product Marketing, Ricoh Americas Corporation. “To help them with this challenge, we are combining Nuance’s powerful new solutions with our consulting, design, technology, training and support to significantly improve our customers’ performance.”

With only 2 in 5 organizations having automated most/all their workflows1, these new solutions will present new opportunities for many organizations looking to move information more effectively throughout their business.

New capabilities

AutoStore captures documents from PCs, laptops, smartphones, tablets, MFPs, scanners, email and the Web and seamlessly integrates the information into an organization’s operations. AutoStore is a powerful solution for automating processes like e-discharge in hospitals, order processing in manufacturing companies, and procurement in government agencies.

AutoStore 7, released today, adds a host of new workflow features, including dynamic text redaction for enhanced security and compliance, and automatic image enhancement for photos of documents shot by smartphones and tablets.

eCopy ShareScan is best suited for collaboration work streams where team members, bound by a common goal, such as a project, contribute documents and content to the team for further review and enrichment. The new eCopy ShareScan 5.4 offers enhanced integration with MFPs enhancing user productivity and efficiency. For example, users can capture documents faster by selecting options and adding data even while scanning is under way. The new version also adds connectivity with cloud document management solutions such as Microsoft OneDrive, Google DriveTM and Dropbox.

Output Manager helps organizations gain control of printing workflows so they can reduce costs, improve security, enhance productivity and keep employees happy. Output Manager 4, released today, includes specific support for Epic electronic health record systems, enabling the automated tracking of private data and password-protected print release. Output Manager also integrates usage data with Equitrac office print management reporting, giving Output Manager users consolidated enterprise-wide visibility into their print activities.

“Ricoh’s customers, like any organization, want to gain control of inefficient paper and electronic business processes,” said Michael Rich, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Nuance Document Imaging. “We’re deeply committed to helping them secure that control and become more productive and profitable.”
