Based on a recent survey with enterprise organizations*, the top four concerns considering costs and print management tasks are:
- Ensuring document security,
- Environmental concerns (energy usage, wastage of consumables),
- Rising costs (consumables), and
- Educating end users on responsible printing.
Interesting to note, 2 of the top 4 concerns are ecologically focused and important for both decision makers and office workers. Decision makers are focused on cutting costs and meeting environmental regulations, while office workers are motivated to be responsible global citizens.
In the same survey, at least 75% of these organizations were identified to be interested in pull printing or scan to workflow solutions, which have a significant impact to reduce unnecessary printing and copying.
