I received a copy of an update HP has sent to resellers with changes to their program. While this isn’t uncommon, some of the changes have dealers a bit up in arms and for the life of me I can’t understand a couple of the new requirements.

In a document forwarded to me, HP now requires independent resellers to provide the name and street addresses of their customers.
Dealers and resellers have been burnt enough times to be skeptical of handing over their account names to another company. It’s not that they don’t trust you HP, it’s just that…they don’t trust you.
I would think this will push a lot of resellers to non-OEM sources.
