London – 11 February, 2015 – Brilliant expertise and service offered by print industry companies have been recognised through awards run by the British Association for Print and Communications (BAPC).

At a lunch sponsored by EFI in London yesterday, representatives of three winning companies were presented with their accolades. They were Simon Tabelin, Managing Director of Brilliant Media (‘Business of the Year’), Peter Jolly, UK Managing Director of Duplo International (‘Supplier of the Year’) and Phil Wilce, owner of Formara (‘Environmental Printer of the Year’).

“We’ve always been proud to support the BAPC and are honoured to have won this prestigious award for the second time,” said Simon Tabelin.

“Brilliant Media is a relationship-driven business. By applying best-of-breed, cross-media technologies, big data, consequential marketing and ‘create once, deploy often’ approach, Brilliant Media’s design and production team turns ordinary interactions into extraordinary experiences every day.

Echoing the sentiments, Peter Jolly said: “We are really proud of this award. We are working hard as a business to continuously evolve. We invest many hours in our customer forums asking what makes a great supplier now and what will be required in the future. We never stand still. We hope this award reflects the success of our ability to listen, adapt and deliver on what we promise.”

Phil Wilce commented: “Formara is a cutting-edge business, which has a loyal customer base. We have always put considerable emphasis on our environmental credentials that are second to none. Receiving the BAPC Environmental Printer of the Year makes us very proud. It’s all about service.”

Sidney Bobb, BAPC chairman, said: “We had a terrific response to the awards this year, which is always closely fought.  All the winners and short-listed companies were chosen by independent assessors and members of the BAPC, which is run by printers for printers and shares a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience within our association.

“They can all be justifiably proud of their achievements, which I am sure will help them grow and create further business opportunities for their own customers. The awards are all part of the BAPC’s aim to cultivate a ‘community of spirit’ that acts as a forum for the graphic arts industry to work together for mutual benefit.”

The other short-listed companies were:-

  • Business of the Year – Clarkeprint, Copy Color, Fineline Printing, Formara, Print 4 UK, Pureprint and Screaming Colour
  • Supplier of the Year – Allprint, Bishops, Canon UK, IFS, Konica Minolta, Morgana Systems, Ricoh UK, Renz UK and Vivid Laminating
