Imagine how Thomas Edison and Benjamin Franklin would feel about our electrically powered world today. From the household to the corporate offices to the manufacturing facility, daily demand for power has grown to an all-time high. This power oftentimes is supplied from our public power grid. Unfortunately for the majority of businesses that depend on a consistent and reliable power utility, this grid is antiquated, overstrained, and regularly failing.

Screen Shot 2014-04-10 at 2.36.41 PMThe complete overhaul of the global power infrastructure requires replacing the analog system of yesterday with digital communication and processing components of today. This “Smart Grid” has slowly come into focus in our country, but the task is daunting and will likely take several decades to successfully implement. Once “Dirty Power” reaches our buildings and homes, the disruptions escalate as different electronic assets compete for their proper power supply levels.

For the foreseeable future, the owners of all electronic equipment must place their faith in demand-side power management and protective devices to shield their investments from damaging power anomalies.

Screen Shot 2014-04-10 at 2.37.10 PMUntil the introduction of Innovolt’s technology in 2005, the comprehensive power protection system has been unavailable to both residential and industrial markets. Traditional power protection devices such as surge suppressors, power conditioners, voltage regulators, and uninterruptible power supplies fall short in providing total protection of electronics from grid-based and branch-based disturbances. Power anomalies that arise both internally and externally affect different aspects of a business’ electronic equipment fleet.

Innovolt guards expensive and sensitive technology against the damaging effects of power disturbances while simultaneously giving businesses the tools
they need to predict, measure, and maximize the performance of assets across the distributed enterprise. The value our proven solutions deliver includes:

  • Protecting, optimizing and managing your assets
  • Increasing productivity and performance
  • Extending the life of electronic equipment and reducing cost of ownership
  • Increasing asset uptime and lowering service calls
  • Improving customer satisfaction and brand loyalty

Providing a holistic view of the asset environment

Screen Shot 2014-04-10 at 2.38.20 PMInnovolt’s technology was developed and nurtured in the Georgia Tech Electrical Engineering laboratories of our Founder and Chief Scientist, Dr. Deepak Divan. He spent years conducting the most extensive research of what was actually occurring on the power grid and how certain anomalies affect electronic circuitry. During this time, he consulted major Global 500 companies, such as BMW, General Mills, Kraft and GM on power and how it was adversely impacting their automated electronics. He produced profound results, and based on his research, he concluded that there are hostile power disturbances that are silently and adversely impacting electronics. From this foundation, the Innovolt Intelligent Asset Management technology was developed to monitor, remediate, and manage electrical power.
