Company shakes up low-volume segment with advanced wireless capabilities, WiFi Direct, and 1200×1200 dpi color resolution – all standard.

FAIRFIELD, N.J. – October 4, 2016 – KYOCERA Document Solutions America, one of the world’s leading document solutions companies, today announced the introduction of the ECOSYS M5526cdw and ECOSYS P5026cdw Series of color Multifunctional Products (MFPs) and printers. The series expands Kyocera’s product line in the low-volume segment, providing many of the same advanced features found in the company’s higher-speed products.

Designed specifically for smaller firms and workgroups, the series consists of two MFP models (ECOSYS M5526cdw and ECOSYS M5521cdw) and two printer models (ECOSYS P5026cdw and ECOSYS P5021cdw), offering speeds of up to 27-ppm and color print resolution up to 1200×1200 dpi.

“The color print capabilities are breathtaking,” said Chuck Clarke, Product Marketing Manager for KYOCERA Document Solutions America. “Combine that with all the advanced technical features and you can understand the excitement.”

Mobile printing and security are among customers’ top priorities, across industries. All models in the ECOSYS M5526cdw and ECOSYS P5026cdw Series support KYOCERA Mobile Print, Apple AirPrintTM, and Google Cloud PrintTM – and WiFi Direct comes standard. The devices also support ID card authentication security with the optional card reader.

The ECOSYS M5526cdw and ECOSYS P5026cdw Series support tiered-color billing to control print costs, as well as KYOCERA Fleet Services (KFS) – a comprehensive cloud-based monitoring service that allows authorized dealers to handle many maintenance tasks for their customers without time-consuming on-site visits. Through KFS, dealers can anticipate issues and resolve them before they occur, and even update firmware remotely during off-hours, maximizing uptime across the entire fleet.

Kyocera continues to find new ways to reduce environmental impact. All devices in the series include a new bottle-less waste toner system, which minimizes landfill waste, as well as new lower-melting-point toner design, which reduces energy consumption.

For low-volume devices, Kyocera has set some very high standards.
