Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for vendors of Managed Print Services and Managed Content Services worldwide serves as a guide for organizations to identify and evaluate technology providers that deliver managed services for multifunction printers (MFP), printer products and device-monitoring software technology within their organizations. Gartner customers are increasingly seeking providers that can match their global presence and become partners in helping them with the management of their printing and document management needs.

According to Gartner, Konica Minolta has achieved the Leaders quadrant because of enhancements to its Optimized Print Services (OPS) offering combined with its Managed Content Services vision. Konica Minolta offers managed content services to support small, mid-market and enterprise organizations in conjunction with complementary managed IT services, business process automation, and managed print services.

“We have been strategically building our managed print services program in concert with our managed content services, and we are now acknowledged as a leader in this new combined category,” says Sam Errigo, Senior Vice President, Business Intelligence Services, Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. “Through strategic acquisitions of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) providers, including Results Engineering, DocuSource and AMS Imaging, we have created a high-value suite of services in the MCS  space.”

Konica Minolta was also noted for its EnvisionIT vertical market services offering and organizational alignment, which includes a comprehensive vertical market software portfolio, robust training and alignment of sales resources that are vertically focused. The company has developed a project management office (PMO) and specialized engagement teams to its regional operations to support customers of any size who are ready to optimize their business processes.

“Core to our service and solutions strategy is to offer a full array of document management and enterprise content management technology to support our customers.  We are passionate about driving a less-print strategy through the enablement of our OPS program while reducing operational expenses and delivering access to information in the most effective manner possible,” says Errigo. “The combined offering of our OPS, MCS and MIT services allow us to architect, implement, manage and support our customers in a cost-effective manner while delivering an end-to-end solution.”
