Authorities offer this bit of information to consider before hitting the big green copy button: Copied documents are stored on the machine’s hard drive.
Since 2002, most copiers, printer, scanners and fax machines contain hard drives and these hard drives store data — thousands of images copied, scanned, faxed or printed.
