By Scott Robinson, Software Support Manager, Print Audit

We are pleased to announce the release of Facilities Manager 3.12 along with ICE 1.19.0 – featuring a variety of enhancements.   Among the enhancements included in these releases:

    • Tracking IP addresses from end customer sites is now optional.
    • Display of the ICE Configuration Type.
    • Tracking of Samsung Toner cartridge attributes.
    • Enhancements to the Device Inventory export.

Tracking IP addresses now optional

This option determines whether Facilities Manager will collect, store and report on the IP address for devices in a Site.  The option is enabled by default.  If the option is disabled, then IP addresses for print devices within the Site will no longer be collected by ICE or visible within Facilities Manager.  To omit collection of the IP address by the ICE software, ICE 1.19.0 or higher must be running at the end customer’s site.

ICE Configuration Type displayed

This field will allow dealers and users with access to the Site Details to determine whether the ICE software is using Local Configuration or configured via the Facilities Manager Site Details screen.  This is handy as it lets users view at a glance where the ICE software is getting it’s settings from when troubleshooting some issues.

With version 1.19, the ICE software can now collect Serial Numbers, Install Dates and Pages Output from those Samsung devices that support this capability.

Enhancements to Device Inventory export

There have been two enhancements made to the Device Inventory export:

    • Asset Number and Color/Mono indicator fields have been added.
    • There is now an option to export the report to a web service.
