Portland International Raceway (PIR), a 1.97-mile, 12-turn permanent road course, hosts the Pacific Office Automation 147. Owned by the City of Portland and managed by Portland Parks & Recreation, PIR opened in 1960 and spans 268 acres. It accommodates over 550 events annually, including automotive and motorcycle road racing, motocross, cruise-ins, and special events like the Rose Cup Races. The inaugural Pacific Office Automation 147 in 2022 featured the NASCAR Xfinity Series, with A.J. Allmendinger taking the win—16 years after his first career victory in the 2006 Champ Car race at PIR. This race marked NASCAR’s return to the Pacific Northwest since 2000.
