An online video graphically displaying the charged-up emotion and intensity that the Spartan/Wolverine rivalry creates statewide has been receiving a lot of notice prior to their October 29 match-up. The playful video was produced by Applied Imaging employees and stars Applied Imaging employees as they let their true colors show and then some. It was originally produced as a reminder of Applied Imaging’s 11th Annual UofM/MSU Tailgate Bash on the Friday prior to the two Michigan schools meeting on the gridiron. However, the video has taken on a life of its own. Applied Imaging has posted the video on its Facebook page and on YouTube. Access can be made through the Facebook and YouTube links on Applied Imaging’s web site; http://www.appliedimaging.com.

In less than 72 hours after the video was posted on Facebook late Friday afternoon, it received almost 12,000 Views, 124 Shares and over 200 Likes. It also accounted for an additional 25 new Applied Imaging page Likes over the weekend. The event is one of the highlights of the year for both Applied Imaging customers and employees alike who either feel supported by fellow Spartan or Wolverine fans or have the pleasure of looking fans of the opposition in the eye and telling them what they really think. After it’s first week online, it has now climbed to over 17,000 likes with no signs of slowing down.

“The Tailgate Bash video is perfect for the occasion since fun is encouraged and is part of our Applied Imaging culture,” said Applied Imaging’s President, John Lowery. “The fact it’s receiving thousands of views and hundreds of Likes is a testament to the creativity and resourcefulness of the Applied Imaging people. None however plan on quitting their day job.”

Lowery founded Applied Imaging in 1987. From its roots in Grand Rapids, the company has grown to have 248 employees and offices in Kalamazoo, Lansing, Traverse City, Petoskey, Metropolitan Detroit (Novi), which was established in 2011, and most recently, Ann Arbor.
