By Claudia Goebel – An updated White Paper on System Architecture was released along with the new DocuWare Version 6.10. It informs in detail about how DocuWare is constructed and what’s new regarding its components, configuration, scalability of the system, and much more.

The overview at the beginning of the document shows you at a glance which changes and new components are found in the new version of the paper as compared to the last. For example, a new option has been added to DocuWare Configuration for synchronizing file cabinets, which are further described in details in the sections labeled “DocuWare Configuration” and “Architecture of File Cabinets.”

The Background Process Service is also outlined, which is a host for background processes that is designed for scalability and now contains the server processes of Connect to Mail.

The White Paper provides numerous tables and graphics which, for example, describe the communication between components. In addition, it dissects each component individually: what tasks it handles, which components it communicates with, where its functions are managed and what is required for its installation.

The White Paper is online and also available as a PDF download.
