Konica Minolta released strong earnings for 6 months ending Sept. 30, 2018 and here are some highlights.
- Gross revenue up 5.9%
- Gross profit up 8.5%
- Operating profit up 69.1%
- Office business revenue up 4%
- Professional print revenue up 8%
KM did show some down areas in healthcare and business, but these were more than offset by the success they’re having in print in both the office and production environments.
KM reported color models outgrew the A3 monochrome declines. Trading off more profitable color growth at the expense of monochrome is just fine as the products are inherently more profitable and likely a partial cause for the impressive growth in profits this half year.
Production growth has also been very strong with sales of AccurioJet KM-1 helping to further boost positive numbers.
