IRVINE, Calif. (Dec. 30, 2014) — By implementing leading security and mobility features within its latest high-output e-STUDIO557/657/757/857 series of multifunction products (MFPs), Toshiba America Business Solutions, Inc. has won Better Buys for Business’ October/November Editor’s Choice Award.

As a result of integrating such innovative functionality throughout its latest high-speed MFP line, the content management innovator’s e-STUDIO series surpassed other manufacturers’ monochrome products in comparison testing. Analysts at the independent office equipment research firm were especially bullish on the products’ Self-Encrypting Drive (SED) meeting the U.S. Federal Information Processing Standard 140-2. By attaining this ultra-strict validation, Toshiba’s e-STUDIO857 series may be used in highly-regulated environments such as financial institutions and government facilities.

Better Buys for Business lab reviewers were also impressed by the products’ next-generation e-BRIDGE controller, which provides Toshiba customers all of the benefits of cloud and mobile printing and scanning with the use of Apple® and Androidsmartphones and tablets.

“After testing a comprehensive array of monochrome multifunction products, Toshiba’s e-STUDIO857 series clearly outperformed the competition while exceeding our own expectations of the company’s consistently high-performing MFPs,” said Melissa Pardo-Bunte, editor at Better Buys for Business.

“While we applaud the continual upgrades Toshiba adopts throughout its MFP line, we were particularly taken by the products’ Self-Encrypting Drive (SED) that meets the U.S. Federal Information Processing Standard 140-2 as well as its mobile print applications.”
“The entire Toshiba team – from sales and marketing to engineering and operations – is proud to receive this honor,” said Toshiba America Business Solutions Chief Marketing Executive, Bill Melo. “Although our e-STUDIO857 series is relatively new, we have seen mass acceptance of the products from customers across all vertical markets.”

With a maximum resolution of 2,400 x 600 dpi, the current edition to the company’s industry-leading e-STUDIO line offers crisp monochrome documents at up to 85 pages-per-minute. Through its 7,600-sheet maximum capacity, the e-STUDIO857 series is capable of handling virtually any print job.
