Milestone Event Partnership Supports V Foundation for Cancer Research and Helps Ensure 100% of Proceeds Directly Benefit Charity

VAN NUYS, Calif. – The Clover Imaging Group (CIG), a marketing umbrella under Clover Holdings that consolidates all of the divisions of its aftermarket imaging supplies business, announces that it will attend “Born in the U.S.A.,” The Cannata Report’s 30th Anniversary Awards & Charities dinner on Thursday, October 1 at Meadow Wood Manor in Randolph, New Jersey.

The Cannata Report themed the commemorative event “Born in the U.S.A.” because the dealer channel they serve comprises some of the most industrious entrepreneurs across the county—and entrepreneurship is one of the core values upon which American culture is based, along with CIG’s corporate culture, which emphasizes entrepreneurship and sustainable innovation. The theme also dovetails well with The Cannata Report audience’s overall enthusiasm and support of the military and charitable causes, two other key pillars of American culture.

As has been the case with every single other fundraising event The Cannata Report has hosted, 100% of all proceeds derived from “Born in the U.S.A.” will directly benefit the dinner’s designated primary charity. This year, the cause is an Esophageal Cancer Research Endowment The Cannata Report established with the V Foundation for Cancer Research in memory of beloved industry veteran Bob Shields, formerly of Copytronics headquartered out of Jacksonville, FL.

A silent auction of sports memorabilia at the event will benefit a second cause, Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon.

“Thanks to the generous support of sponsors like CIG, The Cannata Report is able to continue donating 100% of our Annual Dinner proceeds to the various charities we’ve endeavored to support as the size and scope of the event continues to escalate,” said CJ Cannata, Partner and SVP Brand Strategy and Development, The Cannata Report. “We could not continue to expand the breadth and scope of the event without partners like CIG. It’s that simple.”

The Cannata Report Awards and Charities dinner, now referred to simply as “The Cannata Dinner” by industry insiders, began 30 years ago in 1985 when Frank G. Cannata—Presdient, Editor-in-Chief and Publisher of The Cannata Report since the media brand’s inception in 1982—conducted its first Annual Independent Dealer Survey. Cannata then asked Nomda/BTA for its permission to conduct an awards ceremony during a 1985 convention breakfast meeting to acknowledge vendor partner award winners as determined by dealers via the survey.

“The survey ranks the best products and solutions among vendors leading the independent dealer’s transition to a services orientation,” explained CJ Cannata, SVP, Brand Strategy and Development, The Cannata Report, “and it does much more. When Frank launched the survey in 1985, he gave the dealer community a voice, including an opportunity to acknowledge the best products, services and executives from their perspective. The survey and resulting awards is effectively a social media concept nearly 25 years ahead of its time, and ultimately that is what the Cannata Dinner is all about.”

Dinner attendees consist of dealer principals and top decision makers from the dealer, manufacturer, leasing, software and services segments of the business technology industry—and others.

“We are proud to attend this event and take part in this worthy cause in conjunction with many of our industry peers,” says Luke Goldberg, Senior Vice President, CIG.
