The Million Page Test: I’m trying to run a million pages through the Samsung MultiXpress K7600GX – a lifetime of print volume in only a few short months.

I hit another milestone yesterday as we’re closing in on the end of our million page test, at least on this machine. Over 500,000 scans and more than 800,000 copies and prints on this 60-PPM copier printer MFP – all without an emergency service call.

The scanning speeds are ridiculous. Almost annoying for my purposes. By the time I load up the 250 page document handler (500 pages if you count both sides), hit the button and sit down, the job is done and I’m right back in front of the machine. It’s insanely fast. Also, while the feeder specifications say it will do 500 pages, I’ve put as many as 576 pages through it in a single job and it handled it with no problem.

Once we’re done with this baby we will focus on it’s color cousin, the X7600GX, which is also over 500k scans. In fact, last week I ran 500,000 scans between the two machines (250 on each). That’s equivalent to scanning 50 full size 4-drawer filing cabinets in ONE WEEK split between two machines. Amazing.
