After diving in to fully understand Ferrari’s business challenges, mindSHIFT, a Ricoh company, worked with the company’s Masterpiece® general ledger line-of-business application to fully understand its functionality. Then, we leveraged our SharePoint expertise to custom-build, test and stabilize an automated purchase order request workflow application.

With it, Ferrari could:

  • Pull supplier and account data directly from Masterpiece to automatically generate purchase order requests.
  • Route purchase orders to a requestor’s manager, the controller and the chief financial officer (CFO) for review and approval.
  • Save purchase orders to the Masterpiece shared folder.
  • Send email notifications for approved purchase orders to the requestor with a unique P.O. number
