New addition to the Fashion, Home + Interiors System offers full page color standard for product design

CARLSTADT, N.J., April 17, 2018 — Pantone, provider of professional color management services and tools including the Pantone Color Language, today introduces TPG Sheets, addressing the need for larger physical references in design workflows and presentations. For the first time, single colors within the Pantone Fashion, Home + Interiors (FHI) system are available in full-sized, individual sheets that can be shared with stakeholders, clients, and supply chain partners to promote better color communication, specification, and quality control in a reliable, more versatile, larger format.

Designed to illustrate the appearance of color on product, TPG Sheets provide designers a full sheet of color for evaluation and conceptualization, including the ability to hang up, cut into shapes, layer, or wrap swatches around the product itself. TPG Sheets are ideal for assessing the visual impact under different lighting conditions and for use in client presentations where stakeholders will view from afar, and can also be left behind as meeting takeaways. TPG Sheets are available for all 2,310 Pantone Fashion, Home + Interiors colors and are available to ship globally.

“The introduction of TPG Sheets is a direct result of our continued focus on delivering solutions that address designer needs,” said Adrián Fernández, Vice President and General Manager of Pantone.   “Designers, particularly those working on product, fashion accessories, beauty and other hard and soft home furnishings, rely on the FHI Color Guide and Color Specifier set to define and communicate color, but were previously lacking the versatility of larger formats of the TPG colors.

Fernández added: “TPG Sheets serve as a complementary extension of the FHI system and enable designers and production teams to effectively specify, communicate, and evaluate color throughout the dynamic product development workflow.”

TPG Sheets give product designers and production partners versatile color representation for hard goods including hard home, ceramics, paint, fashion accessories, leather applications, and more. The newly expanded TPG offering is also suitable for use by fashion designers working with multiple fabrics, accessories and finishes. Additional product specifications include
  • One TPG color per sheet
  • Printed on full 8.5”x11” sheets of lacquer coating on paper
  • Includes a printed grid on back of sheet, divided into 1”x1” squares for easy cutting and sharing
  • Each back printed square includes color name and number to preserve identification
  • Packaging includes a reminder to evaluate color only in the proper D65 lighting conditions, for example in a light booth
  • Each sheet costs $15 USD
