MISSISSAUGA, Ontario, June 25, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Konica Minolta Business Solutions (Canada) Ltd. (Konica Minolta) announced that it will begin offering Kofax’s enterprise-ready desktop PDF solution, Power PDF. Working closely with a master-distribution partner, Cranel, Inc., Konica Minolta will begin offering Power PDF to Canadian customers effective immediately.

Adding onto the features of Konica Minolta’s existing PDF solution, eCopy PDF Pro Office (ePPO) – which will continue to be offered as an entry-level solution – Power PDF offers additional functionality and a more streamlined and intuitive design. The software has all the functionality of an industry-leading PDF solution, with the ability to create and convert PDFs to other formats (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Word Perfect, XPS, and more); quickly touch up and edit text and images; assemble and organize PDFs with intuitive drag-and-drop tools; review and sign documents using fillable forms; and collaborate in real-time with colleagues over a local network. Further, Power PDF features an intuitive user-interface that mimics Microsoft Office’s ribbon design, making it easy to quickly get started with the software.

“We’re excited to partner with Kofax and Cranel to bring Power PDF to the Canadian market,” said Norm Bussolaro, Sr. Director of Marketing, Konica Minolta Business Solutions (Canada) Ltd. “Power PDF is simply the best office PDF document manager, editor, and converter available today, and is leaps and bounds ahead of alternatives available online. Using this software in our corporate offices, we have firsthand experience of the value it brings to the workplace, so we know how much it stands to benefit our customers.”

In addition to the enhanced user-functionality of Power PDF, the software offers a number of additional benefits over the legacy ePPO software. Power PDF offers discounted pricing for government and academic users, the software is Mac-compatible (unlike ePPO), and all technical support issues are handled directly by Kofax, the developers of the software. Current users of ePPO will also be offered speciality pricing when they opt to upgrade their license to Power PDF (please contact a Konica Minolta sales representative for more information).

“We are excited about our expanded partnership with Konica Minolta Canada and Power PDF,” said Scott Slack, Vice President of Marketing and Support, Cranel, Inc. “Their customers in every vertical will benefit from a best-of-breed product that empowers them to easily create, edit, sign and share PDF documents.”

Power PDF is available for licensing via your Konica Minolta sales representative effective today. To learn more about Konica Minolta’s enterprise software solutions, click here.
