Summary

Konica Minolta will show a complete digital flow on its stand C12/C19 in Hall 8 at Labelexpo 2019 in Brussels, Belgium, from 24-27 September to demonstrate how it is collaborating with customers and partners to push the boundaries of label production.

At the heart of Konica Minolta’s offering will be practical demonstrations of the recently-launched AccurioLabel 230 toner press – being shown in public for the first time at Labelexpo – that is meeting the growing market needs for shorter runs, flexibility and more customization. Visitors will see the overall production of a label from pre-press to the finished product including embellishment and different kinds of finishing.

Practical ways of capitalizing on the fast-growing markets of digital embellishment and finishing applications using MGI technology to heighten the impact of a label will be a key feature on the stand. The potential has already been shown through Grafisk Maskinfabrik’s DC330MINI and MGI’s JETVarnish 3D Web Color+ systems that provide varnishing, foiling and inline printing and finishing capabilities. Also, a new MGI product currently under wraps will be shown on the stand. Konica Minolta will showcase important advances in software using augmented reality through its genARate application as well as a digital label module from Industrial Inkjet Ltd (IIJ), the official sales and technical support centre for Konica Minolta industrial inkjet printheads outside of Asia. IIJ has developed its print engine concept further to include a range of standard press-adaptors for common flexo label presses.

Konica Minolta will also use the show as an important platform to actively source expertise and experience from customers and involve them in industry-first insights and synergies to inkjet printing and augmented reality solutions.

Konica Minolta’s AccurioLabel 230 is a new version of Konica Minolta’s highly successful digital label press, which has important enhancements. These include a 73% speed increase, improved productivity, an option for overprinting, no warm-up required, less waste and more accurate print registration.

Developed and manufactured in Europe with Danish company Grafisk Maskinfabrik (GM), the AccurioLabel 230 has been built on the Konica Minolta highly acclaimed AccurioPress engine technology. It is targeted at small- and mid-range segments and is suitable for label printers, print providers, brand owners, packaging companies and commercial printers.

Konica Minolta will unveil more details on its label production strategy and successes at its press conference in the Press Office Theatre at Labelexpo on Tuesday, 24 September at 15.30.

” Labelexpo 2019 provides us with a perfect opportunity to showcase our newly-launched AccurioLabel 230 press for the first time, as well as the complete production of a label. We will also use the show to step into open conversations to ask for visitors’ expertise and experiences. We are a relationship-oriented company and will be looking to rethink labels with our customers’ help, as we have in the past with our AccurioLabel 190.Our AccurioLabel systems fill the gap between entry level and high-end digital printing presses, so once again we are expecting big interest from converters during the show. We will demonstrate the many benefits including ease of operation, production flexibility, fast turnaround and variable data printing capabilities, as well as world-class business support and service delivered locally as part of our customer-centric and partnership approach.
