Gaithersburg, MD- MCS, Inc. announces ResourceOne, (a Moore company), and a leader for over 20 years in direct marketing solutions, has invested in the first MCS Hayabusa inkjet system in its Tulsa, Oklahoma facility. The Hayabusa, (the world’s fastest Raptor), is the fastest low-cost monochrome piezo production inkjet web printer, printing at over 1,000 fpm. It is designed to fill in the gaps that other inkjet technology avoids such as coated stocks and labels. The MCS Hayabusa is installed on a new EMT 1,000 fpm unwinder/rewinder unit with a high performance Adphos Near IR drier.

Dave Johannes, EVP, Strategic Initiatives for Moore, explained “The Hayabusa has allowed us to increase our efficiency by replacing three of our current toner web printers with one MCS Hayabusa, all while maintaining the same productivity at almost half the cost per image.”

As part of the world’s largest mail manufacturing company for the non-profit industry, ResourceOne provides creative and cost-effective solutions that exceed their customer’s expectations. They provide outstanding customer service, and supply commercial print, direct mail, telemarketing and fulfillment services. With these intentions in mind, ResourceOne became an early adopter of many leading-edge technologies, including the MCS Hayabusa. Johannes added, “At ResourceOne, we are continually looking at new technology to bring the best in class to work for our clients, and are very pleased with the difference adding the Hayabusa has made in such a short period of time.”

The MCS Hayabusa can inkjet over 2,000 letters per minute – and with its flexibility in dye, pigment, and polymer pigments ink options – can print on coated labels and even aqueous coated stocks. The Hayabusa also met the ResourceOne requirement of minimal maintenance cost and no click charges. Johannes continued, “I believe this is the best product we’ve purchased from MCS. From the top down, everyone loves it. It has really exceeded our expectations.”

Bob Kahle, Chief Operating Officer for ResourceOne, remarked, “The unit appears to have a lot of promise. We have done some retro fits to our unit that has made the machine a potential elite.”

The MCS Hayabusa is designed to work with almost all existing ultra-high-speed pre and post bindery equipment, including: unwinders, rewinders, cutters and even web printing presses. To see a video on the Hayabusa, go to www.mcspro.com/videos.
