GAITHERSBURG, MD – MCS, Inc. is pleased to announce that ColorDynamics has recently installed an MCS Eagle UV inkjet system to support their growing business which serves design firms, advertising agencies, and corporate clients. The company enjoys a long list of awards they have won for their excellent work.
One of the largest printers in the Southwest, ColorDynamics has the capability to complete a job from electronic prepress through bindery and distribution all under one roof. Their primary products include annual reports, catalogs, corporate identity brochures, advertising promotion products, magazine inserts and in-line direct mail pieces.
The Company installed the MCS Eagle UV inkjet system to support the growing direct mail needs of its clients. They had an aging inkjet imaging product, whose maintenance fees alone would pay for a new state-of-the-art inkjet system. But the new system had to meet their 600-dpi quality requirements. Enter MCS Eagle UV inkjet system, with full 600-dpi capabilities. Chuck Chalifoux, President of ColorDynamics, commented on the acquisition: “MCS as a vendor was great to work with, and very accommodating. We especially liked the ease of operation and the print quality of the MCS Eagle. We’ve been very happy with the support they have given us, and the operation of the equipment is very good. We would most definitely buy from the MCS team again,” notes Chalifoux.
Don Kremer, VP of Operations for ColorDynamics, did most of the due diligence prior to making the MCS decision. “We had picked up some new business, which had increased our need for an offline system for addressing. Between catalogs and direct mail, we’re doing anywhere from 1 million to 1.5 million pieces per month,” says Kremer. “The Eagle practically doubled our production, especially on the longer runs. One of the other advantages we’ve noticed is a significant drop in fluid costs,” he asserts.
Mr. Kremer was also impressed with the low level of maintenance the equipment requires. “It’s operator friendly and reliable. In fact, our operators think it’s the neatest thing they’ve ever come across,” he asserts!

The piece was a box with a brochure, handled completely inline by the sophisticated “Communications Solutions Command Center” build and refined by the ColorDynamics team over the years.
