SINGAPORE – Global document solutions company Fuji Xerox and its affiliates have pledged to donate $10 million yen (S$124, 600) to support Typhoon Haiyan relief efforts in The Philippines.
Fuji Xerox’s Singapore office will hold an internal call for donations on November 28 to help the company’s affected staff in The Philippines. The company will support this donation drive by matching contributions dollar for dollar.
In a statement, Mr Bert Wong, CEO of Fuji Xerox Singapore expressed his condolences toward the victims of the November 8 tragedy. “Our hearts go out to the people of Philippines who have been impacted by this devastating typhoon,” he said.
Fuji Xerox has been operating in The Philippines for over 45 years.
All of Fuji Xerox’s employees in Philippines have been accounted for and are safe, the company said.
However, the company said that it is providing support to a a number of employees who suffered damage to their homes.
