MWA has been acquired by Konica Minolta! The company that brought you FORZA, ERP designed specifically for the imaging channel, backed by SAP Business One software has been picked up by Konica Minolta.
Konica Minolta plans to keep MWA’s FORZA offering vendor agnostic and Rick Taylor, President and CEO of KMBS told me “strategically, they’re trying to make this good for the industry, not just Konica Minolta dealers.”
Rick vowed that MWAi will continue to work with dealers just as they had before the acquisition. Only now, they will have the financial backing and support of a company that firmly believes in the value of this service and one that plans to integrate this into their programs as an SAP based ERP offering.
While some MWA customers that don’t carry Konica Minolta may be concerned with the change of MWA from Independent to a brand that may owned by their competition, Konica Minolta enlisted the services of BTA general council Bob Goldberg to help draft documents to protect dealers and their data.
Rick has big plans for FORZA, adding that he could see expanding this program to other industries that share our pain points, such as automotive and others.
MWA will be folded into All Covered, the Konica Minolta managed services arm and will continue to operate business as usual.

The FORZA ERP solution, built on SAP Business One (SAP B1), is a single integrated system that provides clear visibility and control over critical business operations encompassing Accounting and Finance, Sales and Customer Management, Inventory and Distribution, Purchasing and Operations, Service and Mobility and Reporting and Administration. The MWA team of professionals will join All Covered, the IT Services division of Konica Minolta.
