Thank you for allowing me to share more information than usual this past week or so.  I respect your time and friendship and I sure don’t wish to impose on your support but I think the industry is seeking the best possible data and insight.   We need to challenge each other mutual success!

That being said,  I believe it is important as your partner or friend to share important information regarding new business opportunities and or  knowledge that will assist the entire industry.   Providing information that can assist all of us in the short and long term.    Apples little “security” breech is once example of awareness on the “be careful” side of the business and balanced by and with knowledge that drives new business models,  new ideas,  better preparation and execution.

It is undeniably safe to say that our channel is now becoming a “new” channel and with it comes great new opportunities that require each one of us to create,  build and innovate for the long term.   Just look at Konica Minolta and All Covered  or  Canon’s aggressive moves,  or other major companies making significant investments in new acquisitions and or organic growth.    The dealers are doing similar things and it is an impressive thing witness and or be a driving force within it.   I believe an empowered independent dealer is better positioned than ever before to penetrate their current customer base as well as net new business growth.

I  will slow down the information flow after this email  🙂 !  I invite you to support those who invest in innovation  and who promote purposeful change designed to encourage “tomorrow” and add value to the success of the  Imaging Channel.   No one said innovation is easy but it is sure mandatory and for me it is a whole lot of fun!   MWAi is honored to work with some great partners and clients who continue to take the bold steps necessary to be a leader well into this century.

Screen Shot 2014-02-27 at 9.49.40 AMThe Internet of Things (IoT) benefits all of us and it is built on the foundation of companies  you may or may not have heard of but  are important to our channel and more importantly to the hundreds of thousands of companies within your customer base.   We are deep into a new world and it is truly amazing and full of opportunity and my wish and hope for today is to challenge all of us to look forward and work with companies who will secure and accelerate the inevitable  and do it right.  In our industry a major “platform” change is the enabler for the Internet of Things and I am honored that MWAi is at the forefront of this strategy.    Consider ……

The Top Ten in the world driving IoT (in order of stack ranking):

1.   Cisco
2.   SAP
3.   City of Barcelona (yes a city is driving IoT)
4.   AGT International
5.   Schneider Electric
6.   Bosch
7.   Zebra Technologies

I have attached for your review more information regarding this highly innovative companies and rest assured that MWAi is working hard to bring some of the them into our Technology United Group.   Encouraging greater product collaboration,  further market reach and help the industry to move with greater clarity and speed for the benefit of all.  Ambitious yes but who said our industry isn’t aggressive 🙂 ! Naysayers …..thank you for your input and winners …let’s just  lead this industry together.

In closing I have attached a 30 minute video from one of the foremost and respected  IoT leaders in the world and if you have the time I encourage you to watch it and learn.   Learning is life!
