Going paperless should not stop at being able to digitize content. Organizations must put content to work in the context of an organization’s business processes.
This was the top trend in enterprise content management (ECM) shared by research firm International Data Corp. (IDC) in a webinarsponsored by Laserfiche.
“Regardless of what we call it, ECM or simply document management, all customers want the same: they want to get off paper and streamline their key business processes, eliminating errors and delays and improving process visibility,” Melissa Webster, Program Vice President, Content and Digital Media Technologies. “They want to make their workers more productive and deliver better customer service and they want to reduce risk.”
