Itasca, IL, August 27, 2013 — Xeikon NV, an innovator in digital color printing technology, announced today that it will have a major presence at PRINT 2013, including an exhibit of high-quality direct marketing applications produced on one of its Xeikon 8000 Series presses, along with a demonstration of its ThermoFlexX digital imaging system. In addition, the company will reveal more details about its groundbreaking Trillium technology.

PRINT 2013 is the most expansive exhibition in the Americas for digital, offset and flexo technologies, products and services. The event takes place Sept. 8-12, 2013, at McCormick Place in Chicago.

At booth 841, Xeikon will produce a range of high quality, high impact direct marketing applications in unique format sizes. These application pieces will be produced on a Xeikon 8000 Series digital color press. The Xeikon 8000 Series presses feature high precision LED-array imaging technology, which combines true 1200 dpi resolution and 4-bit per spot color depth to deliver the finest commercial print quality on the market today. In addition, the Xeikon 8000 Series offers unmatched format flexibility, with a media width of 20.2 inches and unlimited print length, as well as monthly duty cycle of as many as 10 million pages.

Visitors to the Xeikon booth can also see a live demonstration of its ThermoFlexX digital imaging system, which enables customers to produce high quality flexo and letterpress plates at high resolutions.

Furthermore, Xeikon will dedicate a portion of the booth to its Trillium technology. Based on Xeikon’s patented liquid toner technology, Trillium delivers a combination of high image quality and speed. Another key strength of Trillium technology lies in its ability to print mid to high image coverage with outstanding quality, which makes it particularly suitable for direct marketing and commercial printing applications. In addition, Trillium technology offers significantly lower running costs while maintaining the high eco-sustainability standards for which Xeikon products are known. As a result, print providers will no longer have to choose between high image quality and affordable cost. Xeikon plans to install its first beta unit based on Trillium technology in Q1-2014.

“PRINT is a roll-up-your-sleeves kind of event that gives attendees ideas to grow their business, and it won’t get any more hands-on than at the Xeikon booth,” said Michael V. Ring, president of Xeikon America, Inc. “We encourage everyone to visit us at the show to see a diverse range of industry-leading products in action. We are excited about having a major presence at PRINT 2013 and are looking forward to a great show.”
