CHESAPEAKE — Xerox announced Wednesday it is adding more than 300 new temporary positions in Chesapeake.

In a press release, Xerox said their Chesapeake facility is hiring customer care specialists and is looking for applicants with at least one year of customer service experience and a high school diploma.

The company says the openings are temporary, project-based positions, with the potential to become permanent jobs after the projects are completed.

Hiring begins immediately and will continue until September.

Xerox currently employs more than 1,500 people in Virginia, with nearly 500 employees in Chesapeake.
