The months of March, April and May had several of our the ACDI staff singing Willie’s On The Road Again as we attended multiple trade shows, industry events, and vendor conferences. Depending on the venue, ACDI was sponsoring, exhibiting, attending, speaking at, and always networking with and learning from our industry peers and today’s thought leaders throughout the imaging industry.

With so many exciting events and so much information to share, we decided to compile a summary of the last few months, with a run-down of each event, along with photography, links to additional resources, and an opportunity to download all of the collateral ACDI distributed.

Let’s begin.

ITEX: Our heavy trade show schedule began with ITEX, which was held March 7-9 in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

itex_banner_3.jpgBranded as the, “Premiere National Event for the Office Document Technology & Services Industry,” ITEX is North America’s largest channel event. ACDI joined thousands of industry professionals at the show, exhibiting and conducting live demos of our entire solutions portfolio.

PSIGEN: Up next was the PSIGEN Users/Partners Conference. It was held on April 24 – 26th in Henderson, Nevada.

AIIM: AIIM (Association for Information and Image Management) held their annual conference April 26 – 28th in New Orleans.

200px-AIIM_Logo_2008.jpgThis trade association is dedicated to, “the global community of information professionals.” Their key mission is to help professionals and their organizations, “survive and thrive in the era of Information Chaos” through market research, expert advice, training, and community/networking via local chapters.

ACDI’s Director or Marketing Pete Taylor and Regional Solutions Manager Meghan Forsberg attended the conference on behalf of ACDI and came home informed and energized. An interesting key takeaway from the conference – during a break out session, an attendee summed up the universal issue surrounding enterprise content management perfecting – saying, “I don’t want to search for my documents, I want to FIND them.” FileSight anyone?

Samsung Developer’s Conference: Up next was the annual Samsung Developers ConferenceApril 27th & April 28th in San Francisco, CA.

ACDI’s Software Development Engineer Dan Ndombe and Director of Business Development and National Accounts Mark Hart attended this event and both agreed it was one of the most unique and informative industry events they’ve attended in quite some time.

Lexmark Dealer Meeting: Starting the month of May out, ACDI was on hand at Lexmark’s annual Focus Forward All Dealer Meeting, May 9th – 11th in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

Our OEM Channel Manager Brandon Gross, Sr Product Development Engineer Seth Ingram and Regional Solutions Manager Jay Martin exhibited on behalf of ACDI.

BPCA: The BPCA (Business Products Council Association) Spring Meeting was held the week of May 9th  in Atlanta, GA.

BPCA_image.jpgBPCA is a group of independent business dealers from across the U.S. The organization promotes, “sharing of industry insights, sales techniques and other business best practices that encourage dealers to continually improve their business and increase revenue.

ACDI’s President Josh Lane and Director of Business Development and National Accounts Mark Hart both attended this meeting, and we also sponsored a portion of the event. This was a unique opportunity as ACDI has two large speaking engagements surrounding the meeting. First,  Josh and Mark gave a presentation to all attending BPCA members regarding ACDI and our role in the marketplace. Additionally, Mark was a panelist on the Software Panel, moderated by Frank Cannata.

Toshiba Lead: One of two concurrent events held on May 16 – 18th, the Toshiba LEAD trade show was held in the city that never sleeps; Las Vegas, NV.

toshiba_lead.jpgACDI was well represented with a large group, including President Josh Lane, Mark Hart, Brandon Gross, and Resgional Solutions Specialist Jordan Prescott. This year’s event had almost 1,800 attendees, making it the largest LEAD event thus far.

In addition to the ACDI booth/exhibit, our OEM Channel Manager Brandon Gross spoke on Tuesday, May 17.His presentation, “Building Value Through Smarter Printing” regarding the quickly evolving world of print management was relevant, timely, and very well received. Great job, Brandon!

For the LEAD event, ACDI was a sponsor and distributed information in all four vertical market set ups.  As usual, we can count on our friends at the Industry Analysts for a complete recap of the event, alongside a huge gallery of photos and video.


Kyocera Rounding out our show schedule and the second event scheduled on these dates, ACDI was at theKyocera Business and Technology Conference May 16 – 18th  in Orlando, FL.

Jay Martin, Solutions Architect Kris Robertson and Director of Professional Services for Latin America John Villegas attended and exhibited on behalf of ACDI.  Jennifer O’Leary, Americas Channel Manager from our partner PaperCut was also on hand. Thanks,  Jennifer!

So there you have it . . . as you can see, ACDI has been working hard to keep ourselves and our network of dealer partners educated on the latest and greatest trends, products, and information in the print management and content management world. In addition to showing our commitment to being thought leaders in our quickly changing industry, we were able to network with industry peers, present relevant content about ACDI, Papercut, and our other software solutions and we even managed to have some fun along the way!
